Sailing into Brilliance: Inside the Exclusive Virgin Voyages Event Aboard the Dazzling New Brilliant Lady
October 16, 2025: one day before Virgin Voyage’s Brilliant Lady mermaiden voyage to the Caribbean I had the extraordinary honor of being hosted among hundreds of travel advisors and professionals to see her brilliance and experience her glory. This was quite the red-carpet event, complete with photo ops and banners outside the terminal, a pre-party in the embarkation area, and a full run of the ship from 1 pm until midnight. Having sailed Virgin prior to this event, I was particularly excited to tour all of the stateroom categories, knowing a few of them I’d probably not experience myself. The Rockstar quarters are something else. They are pure luxury, offering seperate tubs and showers as well as an opportunity to have a hot tub on the balcony. The most unique cabins, to me, were the solo sailer cabins. These are specifically designed for those who want to sail alone without having to carry a single supplement.
In addition to viewing all the cabin categories, we had access to the public areas such as the Athletic Club and Redemption spa, all of the ship’s dining - sit-down and quick service, open bar, and events like trivia, game shows, and even enjoyed the debut of a new production, Red Hot.
As a travel advisor, these firsthand experiences are invaluable — not just for learning the layout or amenities, but for understanding the feeling Virgin Voyages creates. Their commitment to “sail differently” isn’t just marketing; it’s in every interaction, every design choice, and every carefully curated concept. From their Happenings Cast providing top-notch entertainment to having no buffets and all dining included, your time aboard the Brilliant Lady is as much an experience as the destinations she sails to.
